Privacy Policy

Scope
This policy covers the AuraDog iPhone app and the auradog.pet website. AuraDog supports pet observation and record-keeping. It does not assess your pet’s health status, generate diagnoses, or provide treatment recommendations.
Pet records in the app
Pet profiles, breathing measurements, daily check-ins, photos, and veterinary visit notes are stored locally on your iPhone. The app does not upload these records to us and does not provide a cloud record service or cross-device record sync. Device backups and transfers managed by Apple or by you may include local app data, depending on your settings.
Observations and estimates
Check-in selections and veterinary visit notes are entered by you. Audio measurements are estimates. A result from a recording suspected to contain noise is saved as an ordinary measurement without a noise or abnormality label. Saved measurements may be used on-device for descriptive comparisons and summaries; these do not create a health-status assessment.
Microphone usage
Microphone permission is used when you start an Auto breathing measurement. Recording audio is processed on-device to estimate a breathing rate and, if enabled, summarize recorded intervals. The app does not upload this audio to us.
Camera and photo library usage
Camera and photo library access is used when you choose to add or update a pet profile photo. It is not used for breathing measurement.
App accounts and tracking
The app does not require an account and does not include advertising trackers or third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs. This statement concerns the app; website analytics and support communications are described separately below.
App Store purchases
Apple processes subscription payments. The app uses StoreKit transaction information, including product identifiers, purchase and expiry dates, and subscription status, to manage access. AuraDog does not receive your payment card details. Apple handles App Store and payment information under its own privacy policy.
Website analytics
The website uses Google Analytics to understand site usage. The Google Analytics script may use cookies or similar identifiers and process page views, interactions, and browser or device information. Visiting the website does not give it access to pet records stored in the app. Google processes analytics information under its privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy. You can manage cookies through your browser settings.
Support communications
If you email us, we receive your email address and any information or attachments you choose to send. We use this information to respond and address your request. Avoid sending pet records or other sensitive information that is not needed. You may contact us to request deletion of your support correspondence, subject to applicable retention obligations.
Export and deletion
You can choose to export a Pet Observation Report and share it through the iOS share sheet. Copies you share are handled by the recipients and services you select. Deleting a pet profile removes its associated records from the app’s local database. Deleting the app removes its local app data; offloading the app may retain data. These actions do not delete previously shared reports, device backups, or support emails. Manage those copies separately.
Children’s privacy
AuraDog is intended for pet owners aged 13 and over and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information through the website or support, contact us so we can review and remove it as appropriate.
Changes
We update this page when our data practices change. The effective date identifies the current policy. Because the app has no account system, please check this page for updates.
